Apparently very few people are interested in owning a small piece of Donald Trump’s history in Atlantic City.

The letters from an iconic “Trump” sign on the closed Trump Taj Mahal casino in the seaside gambling town were selling for $7,200 on eBay on Monday morning. With less than a week left on the sale, the current bid was not high enough to met the reserve minimum. There were just 13 bids.

WSOP bracelets have sold for more on eBay.

“Featuring illuminated ruby-red glass in riveted brass casing, [the letters] are as much pieces of art as they are pieces of history,” the listing said.

Trump’s name is slowly being removed from all parts of the property.

President Trump hasn’t controlled the casino since 2009. His friend and adviser Carl Icahn closed the property last year thanks to a dispute with workers.

Icahn, who acquired the casino through Chapter 11 bankruptcy for $300 million, said the casino couldn’t stay open unless it reduced labor costs. It was the worst performing of the city’s casinos when it closed. The casino was the highest grossing until the opening of Borgata in 2003.

The “Taj Mahal” lettering remains on the casino.

NJ.com first reported on the eBay listing.
