Kevin Hart made a huge splash this January when he played in a number of high-stakes poker tournaments at the PokerStars Championship Bahamas. Hart is an international comedy superstar who made over $87.5 million in 2016, the most of any comedian last year according to Forbes.
In recent years he has released some of the most successful stand-up specials and starred in huge comedy blockbusters such as Ride Along, Get Hard and the hit TV show Real Husbands of Hollywood. Hart is an avid poker fan, having participated in many poker home games in Hollywood and Las Vegas. He made the news in 2016 when Instagram star and poker player Dan Bilzerian put him on blast for playing a hand poorly in a high-stakes private game. He made the move to the big leagues in the Bahamas, playing in the $100,000 high roller there in addition to the main event and another side event.
Now Hart is back in the game, this time flying to the historic gambling locale of Monte Carlo to enter the PokerStars Championship Monte Carlo €100,000 buy-in super high roller. Hart took to Twitter to announce his latest foray into the poker world:
Wish me luck people….I'm in Monaco playing in the PokerStars Championship Super High Roller tournament. I'm about to whoop some ass

The event, which had drawn over 40 entrants midway through the first day of action, does allow for re-entry. This came in handy for Hart, who got all-in for the last of his first buy-in with top pair on a nine-high flop. Unfortunately, he had run into the pocket aces of Igor Kurganov and failed to come from behind. He exercised his option to rebuy and has grown his stack since re-entering.
Hart’s grand entrance to the event was documented by PokerStars. You can check out video of that below:
