Harrah's today announced it has asked eight professional players to become members of its International Players Advisory Council to consult with World Series of Poker management on ways to make the WSOP experience better for players coming from outside the United States.
So far, 2005 champion Joe Hachem, Andrew Black, Ben Roberts, Donnacha O'Dea, Gus Hansen, Isabelle Mercier, Marcel Luske, and Willie Tann have joined the council. Wendeen Eolis is the council's chairwoman.
"More and more players are coming from outside the United States, while at the same time we are expanding our reach with new international events," Jeffrey Pollack, commissioner of the WSOP, said in a press release. "This council will help us better address the unique needs of our global players."
The council will give international players a link to the WSOP team.
