The man who, has been nicknamed ‘Bettor X’ by the media, placed three huge bets spread out among different Las Vegas sportsbooks. All three were wagered on the money-line bet for the Rams to win the game.

According to ESPN, Bettor X placed a $2 million bet at MGM on Thursday, another $1.5 million bet on Friday, and a final $300,000 on the Rams at South Point just a few hours later. All three bets were made at +120 odds.

The Rams lost 13-3, however, and the high-stakes sports gambler was out a substantial sum of money.

Last year, Bettor X placed massive bets against the Patriots and came out on top. He won about $6 million after putting $4 million on the Eagles to win the biggest football game of the year.

The bettor became well-known in the gambling world after he correctly predicted the first six games of the 2017 baseball World Series. He let his winnings ride on every subsequent game ended up winning about $10 million.

According to a survey from the American Gaming Association, Americans wagered an estimated $6 billion on the game. The survey found that 48 percent were betting on the Patriots and the majority of the money was bet with the Rams. Exact numbers will be released in the coming days.

One of the Super Bowl’s more notable wins came from someone who didn’t bet on the outcome, but one of the proposition bets. One lucky gambler bet $250 on the Rams to score exactly three points. It paid out six-figures.

With a wrap on the 2018 NFL season, sportsbooks are already putting out odds for next year’s big game. According to the oddsmakers at the Westgate Las Vegas Superbook, the Kansas City Chiefs are the early favorites to win next year’s Super Bowl.
