The 2019 Run Good Poker Series $575 buy-in no-limit hold’em main event at Grand Casino and Resort attracted 314 total entries. When the final table of nine was reached, two of the remaining players were actually from the same family.

Brothers Blair Hinkle and Mason Hinkle both managed to navigate their way through the field to reach the final table together. In the end, Blair emerged victorious with the title and the top prize of $35,985, while Mason finished sixth for $6,260.

Mason was actually eliminated by his brother, who called his shove holding A-2 and paired his ace on the flop. Mason was unable to top Blair’s top pair, deuce kicker and hit the rail.

Mason took to Twitter afterward as his alter-ego ‘Uncle Ron’ to congratulate Blair:

Blair is the most accomplished of the three poker-playing Hinkle brothers from Kansas City, having accumulated more than $4.5 million in prior live tournament earnings. Blair also won a World Series of Poker gold bracelet back in 2008, taking down a $2,000 buy-in no-limit hold’em event.

Blair and Mason’s brother Grant Hinkle has also put together an impressive resume, with more than $1.6 million in career cashes and a WSOP bracelet of his own from a $1,500 buy-in event at the 2008 series. This was Mason’s largest live tournament cash, bringing his career total to over $25,000.

Here is a look at the payouts awarded at the final table:
