There’s just one month remaining before Americas Cardroom brings back Venom, a $6 million guaranteed online event which will pay out at least $1 million to the winner.
The action for this $2,650 buy-in tournament officially kicks off in late November, with the first of four starting flights, but players can win their seats now with sit-n-go step tournaments and satellites.

The way it works is simple. You buy in for ten big blinds and play your game. If you leave a winner and want to return to the table, you must come back with the same amount you left with. That amount gets locked in for seven days before it can reset. The end result is a table that is full of very deep stacks.
ACR Pro Tom Cannuli has taken a particular interest in the tables, and is on a mission to spin up the largest stacks at almost every limit. As of late October, Cannuli had managed to work his way to $93,000 on a $15-$30 pot-limit Omaha table.
While the big stack gives him an advantage over the short stacks at the table, it could also spell disaster if he were to run into another player with a pile of chips.
“If you sit and are looking to double up or grow your stack to say 100 big blinds and then cash-out and start again in a week, it’s a whole lot easier than when you’re trying to grow your stack up to something huge,” Cannuli explained. “If you grow your stack, and then somebody who’s built it up just as big gets ahold of you at the top, it can be hard.”
Cannuli has been playing nearly every stake at the 7-Day No Rathole Tables, ranging from $1-$2 to $15-$30. He even has a prop bet that he can run a $5-$10 stack up to 10,000 big blinds. But so far, he has stayed away from the $50-$100 games.
“Let me put it this way, I currently have $93k on a table in a game that’s 3 times smaller than $50-$100. If I had the same number of big blinds at a $50-$100 game, that would be $300k!”
