From Saturday, November 9 through Sunday November 17, poker players in southwest Louisiana have a shot at taking home at least one of the four bracelets being awarded at the Louisiana State Poker Championships at Isle of Capri Casino & Hotel.
The week-long series features nine events with buy-ins ranging from $150 to $550, including a $155 ladies event on Monday at 3 p.m. and a $235 seniors event on Wednesday at noon.
Every event on the schedule features a guaranteed prize pool of at least $3,000. The $550 no-limit hold’em main event carries a $25,000 guarantee and a bracelet. There are two $345 no-limit hold’em events on the schedule with a $15,000 guarantee.
Eight of the nine events on the schedule are no-limit hold’em. The lone non-hold’em event is the $250 pot-limit Omaha event on Thursday at 3 p.m. It features a $5,000 guarantee on the prize pool.
