The Rattlesnake Open III saw its main event play out on Sunday, with an incredible 739 entries in the SC 218 buy-in tournament on Global Poker. Once again, the site had no problem cruising past the SC 80,000 guarantee, nearly doubling it for a total prize pool of SC 147,800.

The final 117 players finished in the money, earning at least SC 295, and everyone at the final table picked up a minimum of SC 1,921. There were seven different states represented at the final table, including players from Iowa, Texas, New York, Michigan, and California.

In the end, however, the tournament came down to ‘KY Peddler’ from Virginia and ‘Hookey911’ from Massachusetts. After a short battle, ‘Hookey911’ came out on top and collected the SC 26,530 first-place prize, along with a spot in next week’s Tournament of Champions.

If you haven’t yet tried Global Poker, now is the time to do so. The site is also giving away SC1,000 every week for new players in a special Saturday freeroll at 15:00 EDT.

To see yourself in the winner’s circle, sign up for Global Poker today and get started playing.
