U.S. Poker Open Returns To Global PokerSeries Runs From April 8-20 |

The world’s top poker players will be descending upon Las Vegas this April for the annual running of the U.S. Poker Open. The eight-event, high-stakes affair kicks off with a $5,000 buy-in and culminates with the $25,000 main event before crowning a champion at the PokerGO Studio at the ARIA Resort & Casino.
But for those of us who can’t make it to Vegas (and who don’t have six figures to spend on buy-ins), Global Poker has got it covered. Running in tandem with the live USPO starting April 8 and finishing up on April 20, the popular online poker site will be offering two full weeks of tournament action with a total of 18 exclusive trophies up for grabs.

USPO Details
This year’s online USPO will feature eight Sweeps Coin and eight Gold Coin events, headlined by the SC 100,000 guaranteed main event and GC 35,000,000 guaranteed main event on Sunday, April 13. The schedule also includes mystery bounty events, progressive bounty events, turbos, and deep stacks.
In total, there is SC 400,000 and GC 1,585,000 guaranteed during the series, and that doesn’t include everything Global Poker has done to sweeten the pot. The series actually kicks off on April 7 with opening SC 5,000 and GC 2,500,000 freerolls, and the site will also do it all over again by hosting another pair of mid-series freerolls on April 12.
Event champions will not only get USPO trophies, but also Global Poker merchandise and a spot in the Tournament of Champions. There, the SC winners will compete for a $5,000 prize package to fund a luxury trip to Las Vegas where they will be presented with a check at the PokerGO studio. GC event winners will also get exclusive USPO felt cutouts signed by the corresponding live event’s winner.
Additionally, anyone who plays in any online trophy event is eligible for one of two Players’ Championship Semis. The top 180 players from each will move on to the final, where another Las Vegas prize and SC 5,000 is on the line.
