One Nevada gambler lost six-figures on the main event of last weekend’s UFC 251.

According to a Saturday evening press release from William Hill, a Nevada bettor placed $200,000 on Jorge Masvidal against Kamaru Usman in Saturday night’s welterweight title fight. The bet was made at the M Resort in Las Vegas. Masvidal was listed as +230, which would’ve paid the gambler a total of $660,000 if Masvidal pulled off the upset.

The size of the wager moved the line slightly as William Hill priced Masvidal at +220 after the wager was placed. Usman was on the board as a -260 favorite.

Unfortunately for the bettor, Usman defeated Masvidal in a unanimous decision to retain his title, costing the gambler $200,000.

In a post-fight press conference, the champion was told about the bet on Masvidal and was asked what he would say to the person who bet it.

“Whoops,” said Usman. “Whoops. I mean, if you are going to bet money like that, you probably don’t need it. I hope he doesn’t miss it.”
