WPT Ladies Tournament to Help Fight Breast Cancer

Tourney Takes Place This Weekend at Bicycle Casino

The World Poker Tour has teamed up with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization for its Ladies Night tournament that will be held at the Bicycle Club in Los Angeles this weekend.

The WPT and Hands-On Mobile will donate $5,000 each to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization, which focuses on the eradication of breast cancer. Also, 15 percent of the $1,000 buy-in will be donated to charity.

This is the fifth Ladies Night to be held at the Legends of Poker tournaments series that's now taking place. In addition to the top prize, the winner will also receive an entry into the special Ladies Night final table tournament, which will feature Mimi Tran, Linda Johnson, Kristy Gazes, Melissa Hayden, and Joanne "JJ" Lieu. The winner receives a $25,000 seat into the WPT World Championship.

The weekend for the ladies starts at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, with a player party that even features free pedicures. The two-day tournament starts at 3:15 p.m.
