The World Series of Poker Europe started yesterday, Sept.6, in London with the £2,500 H.O.R.S.E. event. While players from all over the world are expected to travel to play in the £10,000 buy-in main event starting Sept. 10, bookmakers in Europe and the U.S. are pricing up their markets in anticipation of the event.

To win the main event outright, Phil Ivey is a clear favorite at 38:1 with Betfair, 40:1 with Blue Square and Ladbrokes, and a best price 50:1 with Stan James, while 11-time bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth is second favorite at 49:1 with Betfair, 50:1 with Blue Square and Ladbrokes, and 66:1 with Stan James.

The leading Brits in the market are Roland De Wolfe and Dave Ulliott at a best price 100:1 with Blue Square and Ladbrokes, and Ram Vaswani at a best priced 109:1 with Betfair.

The top Europeans in the markets are Patrik Antonius, Gus Hansen, and Marcel Luske all around 100:1 with most firms, though Luske can be had for 129:1 on Betfair.

U.S. punters have access to some interesting markets at Bodog. It's offering 11:4 for an American-born player to win the event and 2:9 against.

It has also priced up a 'last longest' market which is headed by a host of big names, including:
