Poker legend Dan Cates has launched a new poker podcast with another all-time poker great as his first guest.
Cates’ new project, Winning The Game of Life, can be viewed on YouTube and listened to wherever podcasts are available. The project is produced by Market Domination LLC.
“I started the podcast to meet, get to know, and share people’s stories who have succeeded greatly in their fields so people could learn from their success," Cates said. “The ultimate goal is to find a way to allow the world to win, and that begins with starting that discussion, finding others interested in that cause, and finding a way to help ourselves.”
The March 19 debut episode, Creating Possibilities with Positivity, featured Poker Hall of Famer Phil Hellmuth. Upcoming guests include poker players Eugene Katchalov, Liv Boeree, and Patrik Antonius.

“Cates aims to highlight the exciting and interesting world of professional poker players and learn how those in more fortunate situations can help others,” according to a spokesperson.
The Maryland native has always been considered one of the top online cash game players around, and he’s also racked up nearly $10 million in live tournament cashes. Last year, he won his first World Series of Poker bracelet, taking down the prestigious $50,000 Poker Players Championship.
Earlier this year, Cates appeared on the Poker Stories Podcast and was also featured on the cover of Card Player Magazine.
