The massive 2025 Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Jeju series is now in its final stages, with just two short deck tournaments left to play. Nearly $146 million in prize money has been awarded across the 16 completed events held so far at Landing Casino Jeju in South Korea.

The most recent tournament was the first of the closing trio of short deck events, and it featured a buy-in of $30,000. A total of 56 entries were made by the time registration came to a close, resulting in a prize pool of $1,680,000 that was split up amongst the top nine finishers.

The largest payout was awarded to Ukraine’s Artem Kobylynskyi, who defeated a tough final table to secure his first Triton title and the $492,000 in prize money that came with it.

This was the second-largest score yet for Kobylynskyi, trailing only the $651,977 he earned as the runner-up in the 2018 European Poker Tour Prague main event. He now has more than $1.3 million in recorded earnings.

This win also came with 420 Card Player Player of the Year points. It was Kobylynskyi’s first POY-qualified score of 2025.

Triple crown winner Michael Watson was the leader when the final table of seven was set, with Kobylynskyi sitting on the next-largest stack and ten-time Triton champion Jason Koon at the bottom of the chip counts.

Stephen Chidwick

Triton co-founder Paul Phua (7th – $82,000) was the first to fall, with his A-K losing a race against the pocket queens of two-time Triton champion Daniel Dvoress. Another two-time Triton winner in Stephen Chidwick was ultimately knocked out in sixth place ($104,000). The British poker pro’s A-Q was unable to come from behind against the A-K suited of Watson and he headed to the rail with his latest big tournament payday. He now has more than $65 million in recorded earnings, which places him third on poker’s all-time money list.

Koon, who sits in sixth-place on that prestigious leaderboard with $59.9 million, added $134,000 to his tally with a fifth-place showing in this event. The all-time Triton titles leader got the last of his stack in after the flop with top pair top kicker against the same pair with a lower side card for Dvoress. The river gave Dvoress two pair, ending Koon’s latest deep run.

Lun Loon got his final chips in with a double gutshot facing the top pair of Kobylysnkyi and was unable to hit. Loon earned $173,000 as the fourth-place finisher. Kobylysnkyi’s rise continued when his A-J held against the A-10 suited of Dvoress in a preflop all-in confrontation. A flopped jack extended the advantage for the Ukrainian, and he held from there to send Dvoress packing in third ($229,000).

Heads-up play began with Watson out in front, with 72 antes to the 63 of Kobylynskyi. The lead soon changed hands, though, and Kobylynskyi was able to expand his advantage ahead of the final hand of the tournament. Watson raised with AHeart Suit8Spade Suit then four-bet jammed over Kobylynskyi’s three-bet. Kobylynskyi called with ADiamond SuitKClub Suit and held through a JSpade Suit9Heart Suit7Diamond SuitQSpade SuitQHeart Suit runout to bring the event to a close. Watson cashed for $353,000 as the runner-up. The four-time Triton champion now has nearly $32.4 million in lifetime earnings after this latest score.
