High Stakes Poker has long been one of the most popular cash game broadcasts in poker. Now, the PokerGO production is scheduled to host the first-ever live-streamed special edition of HSP. The $200-$400 no-limit hold’em cash game with a $100,000 minimum buy-in is slated to kick off on Thursday, April 27, 2023, with an anticipated guest lost that includes Eric Persson, Jennifer Tilly, Matt Berkey, Nik “Airball” Arcot, Doug Polk, Rob Yong, and Bill Klein.

“We could not be more excited to bring to life the first-ever livestream broadcast of High Stakes Poker,” said Mori Eskandani, President of PokerGO. “PokerGO is committed to increasing the worldwide visibility of the game we all love so much, and part of our strategy is new content offerings such as this live broadcast of High Stakes Poker that allows us to showcase poker and the community on the biggest platform.”

“Cash-game poker livestreams have never been in higher demand, and it’s only fitting that PokerGO, the global leader in live poker streaming, brings poker’s most iconic cash game into a live format,” said Brent Hanks, PokerGO Director of Programming. “This lineup at these stakes with the added dynamic of livestream engagement is the perfect recipe for a truly can’t-miss event.”

The lineup for the game was first revealed via a social media video post from HSP co-host Nick Schulman, a three-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner and World Poker Tour champion.

Schulman was announced as the replacement commentator for longtime HSP co-host Gabe Kaplan. just a few months ago. Kaplan, who is now 78, retired from the show during the kickoff episode of the tenth season. The actor, comedian, and poker player reportedly gave Schulman his blessing before stepping away from the booth.

While HSP always brings plenty action and excitement, there is already a heaping helping of pre-existing drama between several of the expected participants this time around. Nik Airball and Matt Berkey are currently playing a heads-up challenge stemming from a beef between the two that was stoked by ’Airball’s’ appearance on Doug Polk’s podcast. Eric Persson, who first made a splash on the scene when he trash-talked his way through a heads-up win over Phil Hellmuth, has also weighed in with challenges for Berkey, while Polk has commented extensively on the proceedings.

Perrson posted a video of his own after the lineup was revealed, suggesting a $25,000 side bet between himself, Polk, and ‘Airball’ with the goal of being the first to stack Berkey.

This broadcast will be available on PokerGO and the PokerGO YouTube channel.
