On Friday, Sept. 8, PokerGO and the Aria Resort and Casino will host a charity poker tournament to benefit the Clark County Injured Police Officers Fund, an organization that helps reduce the financial burden by those injured in the line of duty.
The $1,000 buy-in event features $500 rebuys, as well as add-ons between $500 and $1,000. Half the of the overall prize pool will go to the players, and the other half will go towards the charity.
The tournament kicks off at 5 p.m. PT at the PokerGo studio on the Las Vegas Strip, with 100,000 in chips to start.
High-stakes poker pro Sean Perry is scheduled to attend and has decided to sweeten the pot by taking on all comers in a heads-up challenge to help the cause.
The buy-in for the heads-up challenge is $1,000. Those who beat Perry will pocket $1,500, with $500 for the charity. If Perry wins, he will donate the entire $2,000 to the IPOF.
