The PokerGO Tour has announced the inaugural running of the PGT Texas Poker Open this spring. The 11-event series is scheduled to run from Apr. 24 – May 5 at Champions Club Texas in Houston.
As one would expect with PokerGO involved, there are several high-roller events on the schedule. There are seven high-stakes events in total, with five $5,300 buy-in events and two $10,500 offerings. Five of the seven high rollers will be contested in no-limit hold’em, with the other two featuring pot-limit Omaha. All seven high rollers will award PGT rankings points.
The marquee event of the tournament will be the $2,000,000 guaranteed $3,300 buy-in no-limit hold’em main event that runs from Apr. 24-29. The event sports eight total starting flights, including four turbo flights. Like the high rollers, the main event will award PGT points for those looking to climb the tour’s leaderboard with hopes of qualifying for the season-ending PGT Championship $1,000,000 Freeroll.
For those looking to get in on the action at some lower price points, the series also includes a $400 ‘monster stack’ event on Apr. 24, a $1,100 turbo on May 2, and a $360 buy-in on May 3.
