Triton Poker Cash Game SeriesTriton Poker’s Cash Game Series Invitational is underway at Maestral Resort in Montenegro. The action runs through Aug. 10 and the week has seen some massive pots so far.

The series features a minimum $500,000 buy-in and some of the biggest high-stakes players in the world.

One of the biggest hands saw a massive clash between Elton Tsang and Antanas ‘Tony G’ Guoga for a $1.45 million pot. The action began with blinds at $1,000-$2,000 and Tsang getting tricky by limping ASpade Suit AHeart Suit on the button. Guoga then found pocket kings KHeart Suit KDiamond Suit in the small blind and raised to $20,000.

Tsang, who had almost an 82% chance to win according to the Card Player Poker Odds Calculator, then three-bet to $70,000 after the big blind folded.

Guoga four-bet to $245,000 and this time Tsang opted to call with the pot at $501,000. The flop then brought the QHeart Suit JClub Suit 7Heart Suit and Guoga checked. Tsang bet $150,000 after a bit of thought. Tony contemplated before eventually moving all in for $492,000.

Tsang called, swelling the pot to more than $1.4 million. The turn brought the 9Diamond Suit, giving Guoga a few more outs to make a straight, but the ADiamond Suit on the river was no help and saw him lose his second buy-in of the day.

Guoga was soon back battling in an even bigger pot, however, and this time he didn’t wait for a premium hand.

Tan Xuan limped the small blind and then Guoga raised to $24,000 with JSpade Suit 8Spade Suit when the action was back on him. Xuan called and both picked up draws on the flop of 6Spade Suit 5Spade Suit 3Diamond Suit. Guoga bet $50,000 and Xuan raised to $160,000.

The turn brought the 10Heart Suit and Xuan bet $380,000. That brought an all-in semi bluff shove from Guoga, which was enough to take down the $2 million pot without seeing a river.

If that weren’t enough the series also saw Elizabeth Chen and Xuan tangled in a $1 million pot when she bet pocket queens the whole way and got paid off.

Other players in the game have included Phil Ivey, Dan Cates, Paul Phua, Linus Loeliger, Brian Kim, and current Card Player POY frontrunner Adrian Mateos, To follow all the action, visit the Triton YouTube channel.
