Perhaps no player is known more for making great reads than Daniel Negreanu. (Of course, it helps that he enjoys voicing his thoughts out loud while on camera.)

From brilliant folds to actually calling out the exact cards of opponents, Negreanu has an uncanny knack for recognizing other players’ strength in certain spots.

These moments have fascinated poker fans for years, and PokerGO has now released a new video highlighting some of the best reads from the seven-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner and two-time World Poker Tour champion.

“No limit hold’em – it’s art, it’s about people, it’s about painting a picture,” he notes in the video. “And when you’re in the zone, you just feel what everyone has. It’s almost like you know what they’re going to do before they do.”

The video focuses on Negreanu calling out opponents’ hands and picking off bluffs. For example, the action starts at the WSOP with Negreanu up against former WPT commentator Mike Sexton.

“You might have like kings I guess,” he added.

Eventually, he called and said he just wanted to see them. “How scary is this guy,” Sexton responded before turning over his pocket kings.

The next hand saw Negreanu call out Mike Matusow’s hand was as well. Watch the entire video below.

The poker X-ray vision continued over the summer at the WSOP when Negreanu made a huge fold on day 2 of the $250,000 Super High Roller and once again called out his opponent’s exact hand.

Up until that point, it had been a rough few weeks at the series, but later in June he won the $50,000 Poker Players Championship for his seventh bracelet and $1.2 million.

If that weren’t enough, he also spoke with Card Player in July about his appearance in the upcoming comedy-horror film Ick. No word yet if he’ll also have special powers in the movie as well.
