The high-stakes-centric PokerGO Tour’s current season will reach its thrilling conclusion in the early days of 2025, with the final festival ahead of the PGT $1,000,000 Championship being the recently announced PGT Last Chance Series.

“The PGT Last Chance Series is the last opportunity for players to secure a place in poker’s most prestigious end-of-year championship and for rising stars to leave their mark on the 2024 PGT season,” said Tim Duckworth, Director of Live Events for PokerGO. “With high stakes on the line and additional Dream Seat entries available, this series gives everyone a shot. We’re excited to see the intensity and determination the Last Chance Series will bring to PokerGO Studio.”

The six-event series is comprised entirely of $10,100 buy-in no-limit hold’em events, each offering players an opportunity to try to earn points that could qualify them for the PGT Championship, a million-dollar freeroll for the top 40 players in the final season-long PGT points standings.

In addition to the half dozen high stakes events offering big payouts and points, the PGT Last Chance Series also features a series leaderboard which will, according to the PGT press release, “award three ‘Dream Seat’ entries to players who do not finish in the top 40 but perform exceptionally during the Last Chance Series.

The pl;ayers who finish fourth to eighth in the series points race will earn a ‘Dream Pass’ which secures them a spot in the PGT Championship Dream Seat Invitational which runs on Jan. 9. According to PGT info, “This single-day event is open to anyone that has been awarded, earned, or won a ‘Dream Pass’ throughout the 2024 PGT season. The final six players will all earn the final ‘Dream Seat’ entries into the PGT $1,000,000 Championship.

The PGT $1,000,000 Championship will kick off the following day, on Jan. 10. The two-day freeroll event sports the seven-figure prize pool alluded to in the name, with the top six finishes cashing and the eventual champion set to earn $500,000. Starting stacks in the event are influenced by PGT leaderboard position.
