Poker Stars European Poker Tour San Remo Under Way

Event in Italy Attracts 700 Players

The PokerStars European Poker Tour’s event in San Remo, Italy, began today with the first flight of players. The €5,000 (about $7,200) buy-in no-limit hold’em event has sold out with 700 entrants. Day 1B is scheduled to take place tomorrow, and the final table is set for Saturday. The cap was originally 500 players, but room was made for the extra demand. This is the first EPT event to be held in Italy.

Some of the players in San Remo for the tourney are PokerStars team members Daniel Negreanu, Tom McEvoy, and Dario Minieri. This is the second to last event of the fourth EPT season, which had 11 events. Its €10,000 Grand Final wraps up the season April 12-17 in Monte Carlo.
