Preregistration for the Asian Poker Tour is now taking place, and those who now register will join a handful of pros who have already signed up for the event, which takes place in Manila May 27-June 1. They include Layne Flack, Nam Le, Steve Sung, Quinn Do, Evelyn Ng, Chip and Karina Jett, Roy Winston, Brandon Cantu, Michael Gracz, Huck Seed, and Paul Darden.
Organizers are offering players bonuses if they register and prepay for the $2,500 event online. All players who preregister receive one night at the host hotel, the Dusit Thani Manila Hotel, a free entry into a mega-satellite, wherein the winner receives entry to the next APT event (in Macau, dates to be announced), and an entry into a raffle wherein the winner gets his $2,500 buy-in back.
The tournament has a $1 million-guaranteed prize pool and is the first APT event ever. Players will also be playing for Card Player Player of the Year points.
