Event at Hard Rock Benefited the American Cancer Society and Operation Smile

The brand-new Hard Rock poker lounge hosted the annual Old School vs. New School charity poker event this weekend, and NBA players, poker pros, and fans attended in support of the American Cancer Society and Operation Smile.

More than 100 competitors donated $1,000 for their seats and many took advantage of $500 rebuys or add-ons throughout the first hour. Among those competing were poker pros Evelyn Ng, Doyle Brunson, and Max Pescatori, as well as Danny Granger of the Indiana Pacers, NFL Hall of Famer Warren Moon, and San Antonio Spur Robert Horry. The hosts of the event were Jermaine O’Neal, of the Toronto Raptors, and Greg Anthony, a retired NBA pro and ESPN commentator.

The prize pool of $50,000 was split among the last few players, but Lute Miyazaki was named the winner. The rest of the prize pool was donated to the charities at hand. Card Player TV was at the event to catch some red-carpet action. The following is a video from this event:
