Caesars Poker Room EntranceThe $10,000 no-limit hold’em championship at the Caesars Palace Classic begins tomorrow at noon at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is the featured event in the tournament series that began on Friday, Oct. 17. There were 16 preliminary events that took place during that time, and eight winners of a preliminary event have been given a seat in the championship event. In fact, Caesars poker room has been running a plethora of satellites and promotions to infuse the championship event with as many players as possible. Here is a breakdown of how many players have received seats from the Caesars poker room:

Oct. 27 Freeroll: 12 players
$550 Mega-Satellite: 6 players
$1,060 Mega-Satellite: 11 players
Preliminary Winners: 8 players
Sept. High-Hand Promotion: 30 players
Sept. Freeroll: 8 players

That amounts to 75 players so far, and with another $550 and $1,060 mega-satellite running at press time, the number of added players by the Caesars poker room could top 90. This is all in hopes of building a large field that will guarantee a $1 million first-place prize. In the event that the size of the field misses that mark, Caesars will honor their promise and add money to guarantee the first-place prize as they did last year.

Here is the schedule for the event:

  • -- Tuesday, Oct. 28, noon: Day 1
