Sept. 14. Event 11 of the World Championship of Online Poker got under way at 3 p.m. Eastern Time today. Limit Omaha high-low is the game and 735 players are battling it out for a staggering $367,500 in prize money, with first place receiving $91,875.

The tournament, hosted on PokerStars.com, has been running since Sept. 4, and has already awarded over $7 million.

In the kickoff event, $500-buy-in no-limit Texas hold'em, SnowLeopard bested a field of 3,062, and took down first place and $306,200.

Since then, 12,501 players have logged in and taken part in a variety of tournaments including pot-limit Omaha with rebuys, heads-up no-limit hold'em, short-handed pot-limit hold'em, no-limit hold'em shootout, limit hold'em, and seven-card stud.

Four events remain, with the main event scheduled for Sept. 18 at 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Poker Stars is guaranteeing a $2.5 million prize pool and, if the preceding events are any indication of what is to come, that guarantee should be shattered by the time the e-cards go in the e-air.
