Daniel Negreanu hopes to turn $10 into $10,000.Daniel Negreanu took some time out of his stay in the Bahamas for the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure to talk to Kristy Arnett at Card Player TV about his $10 poker experiment.

“Kid Poker” has decided to challenge himself to take a $10 bankroll and raise it up to $100,000, exclusively through cash games on PokerStars. He’s starting at the $0.01-$0.02 micro-limit games and moving up when his bankroll allows it.

“Chris Ferguson did something neat like this a while back,” Negreanu said, referencing Ferguson’s Full Tilt experiment to go from freerolls to $10,000. “I always wanted to try it myself.”

Negreanu, who is used to playing for millions of dollars, has established a reputation for his ability to read people. That will be put to the test when he competes for pennies online. The four-time bracelet winner describes some of the “random goofiness” and hard-to-figure-out plays he sees at the micro limits.

“[The experiment] also teaches me a little bit about how different the games are,” Negreanu said.

Now, literally anyone with a few pennies and an Internet connection can try to take down “KidPoker” online.
