William Hill is offering UK betters a chance to trade in their bangers and mash for peanuts and Cracker Jacks, with the launch of a new brand of Major League Baseball betting products, and 'LIVE' coverage of games on their Sky Channel 425.
Sky Channel 425 will be the only place to catch live coverage of MLB in the UK, starting on August 3rd with the New York Yankees vs. Cleveland Indians shown live from 11:45 p.m. local time.
"This is a huge leap forward for Major League Baseball betting in the UK. As well as the fast developing domestic fanbase, there are litterally tens of thousands of ex-pat Americans in Britain who we know will tune in the live MLB game every week. William Hill are not only offering the widest range of gambling opportunities available on the games, we are the ensuring the Wednesday game on Channel 425 is absolutely live and not with the delay found on some other channels," said William Hill sportsbook spokeman Phil Quayle.
As an added incentive to watch and play, William Hill is offering a variety of prop bets for the live games on Sky. Customers will be able to wager on first RBI scorer, and strikeout totals for each starting pitcher, along with other promised "special bets." Further expansion of William Hill, and Sky's MLB coverage is already underway, with a betting preview and highlight show slated to start later in the month.
