PokerStars.com has signed Maria "Maridu" Mayrinck who was the second most successful Brazilian player at the World Series of 
Poker 2008.
Mayrinck, who recently featured on the cover of Card Player Brasil, said, “I guarantee on my end that I will always do my best to honor the name of the best poker site on the planet which I respect so much, and I am very aware of the great privilege this is and I won't take any of it for granted.”
Mayrinck came 35th in the Ladies No-Limit Hold'em Championship, 36th in the $1,820 No-Limit Hold'em event, and 233rd in the $1,364 buy in No-Limit Hold'em event at WSOP 2008.
She has also recorded a 143th place finish in a pot-limit Omaha tournament at the Venetian in 2007.
