Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza II Begins Thursday

The second Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza event of 2009 begins tomorrow at The Venetian in Las Vegas. The tournament series will feature 24 tournaments that will spread games of no-limit hold’em, pot-limit Omaha, Omaha eight-or-better, and H.O.R.S.E. All tournament days will begin at noon, and if there is a second event scheduled for the same day, it will begin at 4 p.m. There will also be a Jennifer Harman charity poker tournament on Friday, Apr. 17 starting at 5 p.m. The charity event will feature a $330 buy-in with rebuys.

The $2,500 no-limit hold’em championship event will begin on Thursday, Apr. 23, and there will be super-satellites hosted today, Apr. 1, and Wednesday, Apr. 22. Starting stacks in the championship event will be 15,000, and the levels will be 90 minutes long. For the $300 no-limit hold’em and pot-limit Omaha events, players will start with 10,000, and the levels will be 40 minutes long. For the $500 no-limit hold’em events, players will start with 12,500, and the levels will be 60 minutes long. The Omaha eight-or-better and H.O.R.S.E. event will feature 6,000 starting stacks and 40 minute levels. All tournaments will feature additional chips for a $10 optional staff bonus.
