Travis 'TravestyFund' RiceThe Full Tilt Online Poker Series XII (FTOPS) has officially come to a close with the conclusion of the main event on Sunday. The $500 buy-in tournament attracted a field of 4,581 players, which meant an overlay on the $2.5 million prize pool. In fact, the main event was just the culmination of a series filled with missed guarantees and smaller-than-expected turnouts.

With the World Series of Poker looming in the distance, it appears that many players sat on their bankrolls during this FTOPS run, as 16 of the the 25 events failed to meet their guarantees. Interestingly, it was the no-limit hold’em tournaments that had the most trouble drawing the big crowds as the other games held their own.

In the end, Pocketownage420 came away with the win and the top prize of $432,400. Other notables to make a deep run included Dan “oiltrader” Shak (ninth), Shawn “phat_cat1” Luman (28th), Adam “Roothlus” Levy (42nd), Jon “PearlJammed” Turner (63rd), and Chris “The Universe112” Leveroni.

The main event did not give out the biggest prize of the series, however, as that honor went to the $2,500 two-day no-limit hold’em tournament. The tournament had a $2 million prize pool and drew a field of 795. The last man standing was Travis “TravestyFund” Rice, (pictured above right) who pocketed $460,000 for the win. Other players to cash included Shawn “phat_cat1” Luman (ninth), Jason “treysfull21” Mercier (13th), fyrtuk (16th), Zachary “CrazyZachary” Clark (18th), Joe “Cappuccio816” Cappuccio (21st), and Steven “StevoL_7” Leonard (26th).
