World Poker Tour Enterprises redesigned and relaunched its online store last week, allowing consumers to buy just about everything poker-related right from their desk-top computer.
The store is part of a complete makeover of the World Poker Tour's website, which now offers biographies on featured players and an online forum where fans and players can go to chat about the game.
The online store offers everything from DVDs of complete seasons to WPT jewelry and chip sets. Books, clothing and the video game can also be found there. Season three of the show was just released last week.
Steve Lipscomb believes that the Internet and Internet-driven media are important keys to provide marketing leverage to poker players everywhere. The WPT has a goal to united players from everywhere, and it feels that the WPT site is the place to do it, says David Wang, the vice president of WPTE's Internet group.
