Australia have beaten England 4-1 in the Poker Ashes, aired over the weekend on Sky Sports, with legendary bowler Shane Warne leading the Aussies to victory over Darren Gough’s Pommies.

The 888 sponsored event saw Warne lead fellow countrymen Damien Martyn, Jeff Thomson, Dean Jones, and online qualifier Adam Kloens against an England line-up of Gough, Matthew Hoggard, Dimi Mascharenas, Gladstone Small, and online qualifier Glen Curran.

Australia dominated from the off and powered to a 3-1 victory to make the last game essentially meaningless. To rub salt into the wounds of the English on their home soil they also took the last match in the series for a resounding 4-1 victory.

The event saw each side field four cricket legends and two online qualifiers from each country.
