WCOOP logoFloating is not a big part of Badugi, and that’s probably why Raymond “raydavis77” Davis came out on top in event No. 15 of the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP). Davis beat out a large field of 376 players and a stacked final table that included the likes of Billy “crocky” Agyros, Jason “JP OSU” Potter, and Danny “THE__D__RY” Ryan.

Davis came into the final table with the chip lead and never saw his status in jeopardy until heads-up play began. He and bobsmith166 traded the top spot several times before Davis put his opponent away for good. On the final hand, Davis made a three card 5-2-A, and it held when bobsmith166 missed on his 6-4-3 draw.

For the win, Davis picked up $19,912. That’s a far cry from his career earnings of more than $1.5 million, but he did get his first WCOOP bracelet in the process.
