For the first time in several months, Shaun “TedsFishFry” Deeb is not in the top two of the Card Player Online Player of the Year race.

Steve “gboro780” Gross still leads the way, but David “Sir Sands” Sands (pictured left) has jumped into the second-place position thanks to two final tables this week, including a win in the Nightly Hundred Grand.

Thanks to the jump by Sands, Chris “Moorman1” Moorman dropped to fourth. Fifth place now belongs to Jonathan “shipitobv” Delong after spending last week in ninth place. Delong had a great week, finishing second in the Full Tilt $100 rebuy and second in the PokerStars WCOOP event No. 8.

The biggest jump this week came from Joe “hoodini10” Udine (pictured right). Udine was sitting in the mid-teens when he caught fire, jumping all the way to seventh place. Udine had four OPOY-qualifying cashes this week, including a WCOOP final-table appearance in event No. 16, along with a win and a second-place finish in the daily $100 rebuys.

The rest of the top 10 is rounded out by Nick “GripDsNutz” Grippo (fifth), Nick “FU_15” Maimone (eighth), Joe “ender555” Ebanks (ninth) and Jeremiah “Believer82” Vinsant (10th).

The race is now tighter than ever, with ninth through fourteenth place separated by only a measly 86 points. Look for the WCOOP main event to have a big impact, as it did last year when Alex “AJKHoosier1” Kamberis ran away with the title.
