European Masters of Poker Slovenia Starts Today

Ljubljana Goes Poker Wild Today with Start of EMOP Main Event

EMOP LjubjlanaThe European Masters of Poker €1,000 + €100 buy-in main event kicks off today and will run until Nov. 28 at the Grand Casino, Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Last season, the tour attracted more than 1,000 players over five legs, and paid out €1.6 million in prize money. This season is sure to compete as a large field is anticipated in this event with day 1B sold out days in advance.

The second installment of the tour sees stops in Poland, Portugal, Italy, Bulgaria, Spain, and Malta. This year there will be a cruise in December 2010 for the winners of the leader board competition.

After Slovenia, the tour is due to move from Warsaw to Las Palmas in sunny Gran Canaria. The dates for this tournament have been changed – the new starting date is Jan. 28, 2010 and the final table is Jan. 31, 2010. The venue will be Casino Las Palmas.
