European Poker Tour -- Prague Day 1A

Day 1A Attracts a Field of 219 Players and Just Over 100 of Them Were Eliminated

Florian LangmannDay 1A at the PokerStars European Poker Tour Prague €5,000 no-limit hold’em main event saw 219 players enter action, but by the end of play, just 117 remained. Mark Gork from Germany led the way at the end of play with a stack of 169,200. He was joined in the top 10 by fellow German and Team PokerStars pro Florian Langmann (pictured right), who ended the day with 108,700 in chips.

The field played eight 60-minute levels on day 1A, and players who enter day 1B tomorrow will go through the same before all of the survivors unite on Thursday, Dec. 3 for day 2. Shaun Deeb Eliminated

Martial Blangenwitsch raised to 525 from the button, and Shaun Deeb called from the big blind preflop. The flop was dealt QClub Suit 5Heart Suit 5Diamond Suit, and both players checked. The turn brought the KDiamond Suit, and Deeb bet 625. Blangenwitsch raised to 1,675, and Deeb three-bet to 4,300. Blangenwitsch then reraised to 8,300 total. Deeb moved all in, and his opponent made the call. Their cards:

Deeb hit a jack, but it was not what he needed to survive. He was eliminated on the hand.
