The $10,000 World Poker Tour no-limit hold’em championship event at the L.A. Poker Classic doesn’t begin until Feb. 26, but players can begin qualifying for the event on Jan. 15 at Commerce Casino. Winners of $40 single-table satellites will advance to higher stages, and the $1,000 single-table satellites that await those that advance will award seats in the $10,000 championship event.
There will also be $225 buy-in super satellites with $200 re-buys. These events will run daily from Jan. 20 to Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. Each super satellite winner will take home a seat in the championship event and the WPT Celebrity Invitational. There will also be $1,050 mega satellites for the championship event that run on Feb. 23, 24 and 25.
A few other select events on the 2010 L.A. Poker Classic schedule will offer satellite opportunities in addition to the championship event. Here is a look at the others:
$1,065 no-limit hold’em with rebuys: $230 mega satellite runs on Feb. 12
$10,000 H.O.R.S.E. championship: $1,050 mega satellites on Feb. 17 and 18
$10,000 heads-up no-limit hold’em: $1,300 heads-up eight-handed qualifier on Feb. 21 and a $2,550 heads-up six-handed qualifier on Feb. 22
$2,100 Ironman no-limit hold’em: $460 mega satellite on Feb. 21
