Twenty-four year-old Aage Ravn from Norway was the highest finishing European at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure yesterday taking sixth spot in the the 1,529-strong field.
The IT consultant from Narvik collected $450,000 for his victory in the Bahamas after winning his seat in a $100 rebuy event on PokerStars.com.
It was only his second major tournament and he sold 20 percent of his action ahead of the game including 2 percent to fellow countryman Johnny Lodden.
He busted when moving all-in for over 5 million in chips over Benjamin Zamani and Barry Shulman and was then looked up by eventual winner Harrison Gimble. His A-Q did not connect with the board and Zamani tripled up with trip eights which also stayed ahead of Gimble’s J-J.
