EMOP Gran CanariaA Pole ploughed his way through Sweden, Finland, and Denmark to conquer the European Masters of Poker Gran Canaria main event final table. He was one of three fellow countrymen who took home titles from the seven events EMOP had to offer.

Maciej Lipny beat 287 others to take home the top end of the €288,000 main event prize pool.

The final table chip leader faced his last obstacle in Finn Henri Ostava, but it only took 10 minutes for the winner to be found. Lipny bet 155,000 and Ovaska made the call. The flop was dealt Q-J-5 with two spades. Lipny checked, Ovaska bet 165,000, and Lipny called. He then checked the 4 turn and Ovaska bet 385,000, which Lipny called. The queen on the river prompted Lipny to bet 215,000. However Ovaska pushed all in over the top and Lipny called revealing J-10 for two pair, while Ovaska tabled A-7. Lipny went home with the title and €66,240, slightly more than season II’s first winner, Vladimir Mefodichev. Ovaska had to settle for the €39,744 second-place prize.

Here are the final table payouts:

First Maciej Lipny (Poland) — €66,240
