Notable Day 3 Eliminations:
Steven Levy, William Reynolds, Erick Lindgren, Keven Stammen, Joe Serock, Brian Hawkins, David Peters, Tyler Smith
Hand of the Day:
Carlos Mortensen Takes One Down
Joe Serock raised to 9,000 from early position with the blinds at 2,000-4,000 with a 500 ante, and Carlos Mortensen reraised to 18,000 from middle position. Todd Terry made the call from late position, and Jamey Kramer then went into the tank on the cutoff for a couple minutes. During that time, the level ended and the field went to a 15-minute break.
Kramer made the call, and Serock mucked. The three live players then saw a flop of 9 5 4. Mortensen and Terry both checked before Kramer moved all in for 84,500. Mortensen made the call, and Terry mucked pocket queens face up on the table. The two remaining players then flipped over their cards:
Mortensen: 5 5
Kramer: J J
Turn and River: 6 and 8.
Kramer was eliminated on the hand, and Mortensen grew his stack to 288,500 with a set of fives. Terry held strong at 505,500 after getting out of the way at the right time with his queens.
