Day 3 at the PokerStars North American Poker Tour Mohegan Sun $5,000 no-limit hold’em main event welcomed 125 players back to the felt and then play saw the field shrink to the predetermined number of 24 players. The money bubble burst when 104 remained and it took two-and-a-half hours for the players to find their way into the money.
Two big names are at the top of leader board tonight. Female professional poker player Vanessa Selbst (pictured right) led the way with 2,285,000, and close behind her is Scott Seiver with 2,241,000. Other big names in the top 10 included day 2 chip leader Jordan Morgan, Cliff Josephy, and Jonathan Aguiar. Peter Jetten ended the night with a strong stack for the second night in a row with 785,000 and Team PokerStars pro Vanessa Rousso charged up the standings to end the night with 720,000.
All of these players will return at noon EDT tomorrow to begin play at 10,000-20,000 blinds with a 2,000 ante with the average stack at 895,000.
