European Poker Tour -- San Remo Day 3The Money Bubble Bursts on Day 3 and the Field Shrinks to 66 Players |
|
Day 3 at the PokerStars European Poker Tour San Remo €5,000 no-limit hold’em main event saw 194 players return to the felt and the first order of business was to bust the money bubble. Cole Robinson claimed the title of bubbly boy early in the day (see hand below) when he finished in 185th place. By the end of the night just 66 remained after a brisk day of play that saw some big stacks emerge.
Most of the players holding the big stacks at the end of day 3 are from Sweden. Chip leader Jakob Karlsson (pictured left) holds 1.8 million at the top of the heap, and he is joined by countrymen Jens Thorson (1.3 million), Per Albin Linde (1,193,000), and Alexander Roumeliotis (887,000) in the top 10. Other notables in the top 10 include EPT Snowfest champion Allan Baekke (1,485,000), and Dermot Blain (1,032,000). Some big names are lurking a little further down the leader board and they include Dag Martin Mikkelsen (626,000), Nick Schulman (609,000), Liv Boeree (513,000), and Harrison Gimbel (471,000).
All of these players will return at noon local time on Monday, April 18 to play down to the final 24 on day 4 of the tournament, and you can follow along with all of the action on the PokerStars blog feed.
