Under the GunOn Monday, April 26, Jon Friedberg will host the series premiere of Under the Gun, a new show on Card Player TV that is expected to ratchet up the dialogue in the poker community and address anything and everything that is going on in the industry.

The series, sponsored by UB.com, will feature Friedberg as its host, along with a rotating panel of pros.

Under The Gun extends far beyond any existing poker show. The show’s unscripted and uncensored panel format is guaranteed to reveal the most detailed insight into the myriad views, lifestyles, opinions, and strategies possessed by today’s most successful poker players, on and off of the tables.

Each week, Friedberg and the Card Player TV crew will be joined by a guest panel of poker’s top online and live pros, industry figureheads, and other celebrities, to debate and discuss all of the hottest controversies in poker, news, gossip, strategy and events in the poker world and beyond.

Jon Friedberg“My primary motivation for creating Under The Gun is to inspire people by way of exposing the mindsets and lifestyles of the most successful people in poker and beyond,” Friedberg says. “I hope to inspire people to elevate their own poker skills, and in addition, pursue all of their dreams, just as I am doing.”

Friedberg will often sneak the cameras out of the studio to join today’s poker celebrities for nights on the town, days on the golf course, and other deviant ventures to show what really happens away from the tables. All poker players have crazy stories, but few have been documented on camera to the extent that Under The Gun seeks to capture.

Being an expert poker strategist and instructor himself, Jon will also be incorporating an interactive and educational component to the show, where he will pursue various earnings, satellite qualifier, and bankroll management challenges on UB.com. In each challenge, Jon will detail and share all of his progress, setbacks, and learnings along the way, in addition to addressing viewer email questions to [email protected].

Friedberg is no stranger to Card Player, formerly hosting Stacking Chips during the 2007 World Series of Poker on Card Player TV, as well as co-hosting CardPlayer.com’s popular radio show The Circuit in 2007.

With over $1 million in career tournament earnings and a coveted WSOP bracelet, Friedberg has been a mainstay on the live tournament poker scene since 2006. He has also served as a final table commentator during live radio coverage of the WSOP in 2007 and 2008 and instructed at WPT Bootcamps since 2007.
