888 and Microgaming Poker network sign French market deal888 and Microgaming Poker Network today announced an agreement to establish a new online poker network in France when the market opens up to non-state providers over the next couple of months.

The joint venture will see a new poker network which will host both Microgaming and Dragonfish licencees as well as 888’s current and future French players.

The move signals a growing appetite for collaboration in the French market with PartyGaming, CyberArts among those signing online poker deals in recent months.

Gigi Levy, chief executive officer at 888.com said, “This deal marks a turning point in the industry with big networks collaborating in newly regulated markets to create a shared pool of liquidity, benefiting customers and assisting in rapidly generating large poker networks in each market.
