World Poker Tour Barcelona Underway

Day 1A of €3,500 Buy In Event Attracts 134 Players to Catalan Capital

World Poker Tour Spanish Championship underway in BarcelonaThe World Poker Tour Spanish Championship got underway today at Gran Casino, Barcelona with 134 players entering day 1A of the €3,500 buy in event.

Among the participants today are Sorel Mizzi, Antoine Saout, Irish Open champion James Mitchell, and Leo Margets.

Formula 1 racer Jaime Alguersuari will be making an appearance at the PartyPoker sponsored event tomorrow and 24 online qualifiers are in line to win an additional $1 million payout if one of them wins the event with the winner getting $500,000 and the other 23 sharing $500,000.

Last year the event attracted 160 players and was won by American Mark Flowers.
