Online poker provider Zynga has announced a five-year deal with leading social networking site Facebook.
The deal, signed earlier this week, will see Zynga continue to supply Facebook’s millions of users with “a compelling user experience for social games.”
Zynga Poker is one of a host of games supplied by the company to Facebook. Others include Mafia Wars, Fame Ville and Café World. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Sheryl Sandberg, chief operating officer at Facebook, said “We are pleased to enter into a new agreement with Zynga to enhance the experience for Facebook users who play Zynga games. We look forward to continuing our work with Zynga and all of our developers to increase the opportunities on our platform.”
Free-to-play online poker is one of the most popular pastimes on Facebook and while Zynga leads the pack it has been joined by a number of other operators in recent months.
