Sunday was the day the world saw how the remaining 16 players at the NBC National Heads-Up Poker Tournament were reduced to eight. In case you missed it, the results were:

  • Jim McManus beat David Chesnoff
  • Huck Seed beat Scott Fischman
  • Barry Greenstein beat Amir Vahedi
  • Chris Ferguson beat Josh Arieh
  • Sean Sheikhan beat David Grey
  • Sam Farha beat Michael "the Grinder" Mizrachi
  • Ted Forrest beat Ernie Dureck
  • Daniel Negreanu beat T.J. Cloutier

Next week, the group of eight gets divided again in a two-hour quarterfinal episode that starts at noon EST on NBC. McManus faces Ferguson, Seed faces Greenstein, Negreanu faces Sheikhan, and Forrest faces Farha. A week later, at 1 p.m. EST, the final episode will show how the tournament concluded.
