Taylor PaurJust four months remain in the 2010 Card Player Online Player of the Year race, but unlike previous years, no player has been able to hold on to a sizable lead on the rest of the field.

Taylor “ambiguosity” Paur still leads the way over reigning OPOY winner Steve “gboro780” Gross, but at just 256 points, Gross is just a final-table appearance away from taking the top spot. Paur picked up a little bit of breathing room this week with a ninth-place finish in the UB Online Championship (UBOC) event No. 8. Gross replaced Casey “bigdogpckt5s” Jarzabek in second with his fifth-place showing at last week’s Friday Night Fight.

Jarzabek had a quiet week online, but you can read more about his start in poker with our OPOY Spotlight stories.

The UBOC was great for Corey “Comandr_Cool” Burbick as well when he finished fourth in event No. 15. The score was good for $10,500, but it also allowed him to jump over Chris “ImDaNuts” Oliver in the standings.

After spending some time outside of the top 10, Aditya “Intervention” Agarwal jumped into eighth place by finishing runner-up in the PokerStars Super Tuesday tournament for $61,275.

The rest of the top 10 is rounded out by kirbynator (fourth), Mickey “Mement_Mori” Petersen (seventh), Adam “squee451” Sherman (ninth), and Raj “BadcardsAA” Vohra (10th).

Check out the top ten standings below:
