PokerStars EPT London Kicks Off Wednesday

Main Event Field Was Record-Setting in 2009

Aaron Gustavson won the 2009 EPT London main eventOn the heels of what has been a thrilling World Series of Poker Europe, the PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) London Poker Festival kicks off season 7 with a visit to the Hilton Metropole Hotel on Tuesday.

Running through October 5, EPT London will be highlighted by the £5,000 no-limit hold’em main event, a £20,000 no-limit hold’em high roller event, and a £2,000 European 8-game championship.

Last season’s EPT London had a record-breaking main event of 730 players, creating the largest poker tournament field in the UK’s history. American Aaron Gustavson won the championship and £850,000 after he beat world champion Peter Eastgate heads up.

Players start the main event with 30,000 in chips and levels last 60 minutes on the first day and 75 minutes on all other days. Blinds will start at 50-100.
