PartyGaming, the parent company of PartyPoker.com, PartyCasino.com, and PartyBingo.com, has lost two board members who have been with the company since it was founded.
By the end of the year, founders Vikrant Bhargava and Anurag Dikshit will no longer sit on the board of directors. Dikshit is leaving the board to focus on the development of new products and platforms as the head of research and special products.
Bhargava, the company's group marketing director, informed the board he is leaving PartyGaming by the end of the year.
Michael Jackson, chairman of PartyGaming, made this comment in a media release about the changes:
"Today's announcement reflects the continuing transformation of PartyGaming from a small entrepreneurial business into one of the world's leading Internet businesses. We are delighted that in his new role, Anurag will now be free to help develop the next generation of products and platforms. We are also please that Vikrant, with his considerable knowledge and experience, will continue to retain his close association with PartyGaming."
This is the second big change to the company's executive machinery in 2006. In March, the company announced that Mitch Garber would replace Richard Segal as its chief executive officer. Segal said he left the company because he didn't want to relocate to Gibraltar. Garber took over in mid-April.
